THE police are investigating the murder of pensioner Saheed Hamid, 76 years, of Maida Farm, Corentyne, Berbice which occurred at about 02:00 hrs yesterday. Investigations revealed that Hamid lives in a two-storey building with his wife, and about 02:00 hrs, he was going to his ‘out house’ to answer to a call of nature when he was shot by an unknown person(s).
Hamid’s body was taken to the Port Mourant Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA).
Police investigations are in progress.
