PRIME Minister Samuel Hinds Saturday acknowledged the work of the late senior lecturer of the University of Guyana and former Commissioner of the Public Utilities Commission, John Caesar, as he paid tribute to him at his funeral service at the Lady of Fatima Church, Shiv Chanderpaul Drive. 
Prime Minister Hinds expressed condolences on behalf of himself, the government and President Donald Ramotar to the relatives and friends, and students who were being taught by the late lecturer.
Caesar died last Saturday at the Georgetown Public Hospital, at age 58.
He also served as the Chairman of the Board of the Guyana Forestry Commission and National Agriculture and Research Institute (NAREI), and he was a member of the Protected Areas Commission. He originated from Ghana, but has been living and working in Guyana for the last 20 years.
