CABINET Secretary Dr Roger Luncheon has categorically denied confirming that funds from the sale of government’s shares in the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) have been invested in the Marriott Hotel project, as was reported by the Kaieteur News.

altConsequently, the Office of the President is calling on the newspaper to produce the evidence of the Cabinet Secretary’s confirmation or retract the headline publicly.
A release from the Office of the President issued yesterday stated: The Office of the President brings to your attention an erroneous article published in the Kaieteur News of Sunday, November 18, 2012 and captioned: “Sale of GT T’s 20% shares….Luncheon confirms money gone to fund Marriott Hotel.”
“The Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Roger Luncheon categorically denies issuing such confirmation.”
“The Office of the President is calling on Kaieteur News to produce the evidence of the Cabinet Secretary’s confirmation or retract the headline publicly.”
