THE Guyana Boxing Board of Control has been  advised by the WBC’s Executive Secretary, Mauricio Sulaiman that they received Shondell Alfred and her team, Sebert Blake and Joseph Murray early yesterday morning in Mexico City.

Shondell fights in Mexico City this Friday against Zulina Munoz for the prestigious WBC World Superflyweight Title.
She announced on arrival that she is ready for the fight and has come to win. Shondell has been, for the last few weeks, under an intense training regime designed to condition her for the high altitude fight.
Munoz, the current WBC Silver Champion is a tough, well trained and very seasoned Mexican campaigner and the fight is widely expected  to be among the most difficult of Shondell’s career.
Mauricio Sulaiman also advised that the fight should be available by live stream on SULJOS.TV which may provide Guyanese fans an opportunity to see the fight live.
