Pee Wee semifinals on today at Thirst Park

TODAY, two teams will move one step closer to the title of the Courts/Petra Pee Wee Inter-School Football Tournament when the semi-final round is contested at the Banks DIH Ground, Thirst Park.

The action gets under way from 10:00hrs as usual with several other showdowns before the semi-finals which begin at 13:00hrs.
In the semis Tucville battle North Georgetown simultaneously as Marian Academy face West Ruimveldt.
Last week, Tucville defeated Redeemer 2-1 on penalty kicks in a well-contested matchup, North Georgetown sank St Gabriel’s, West Ruimveldt humbled Ketley and Marian Academy defeated St Margaret’s.
At noon, four teams will battle for the fifth to eighth positions with St Margaret’s taking on Ketley and Redeemer going head to head with St Gabriel’s.
St Pius face F.E. Pollard while Sophia challenge Enterprise – both kicking off at 11:00hrs in the ninth-to-twelfth place playoffs.
Kicking off the day will be Success Academy against St Sidwell’s and South Ruimveldt clashing with Green Acres. It is uncertain whether Green Acres will compete this week because they gave Enterprise a walkover last week.
Meanwhile, three other supporters of the Pee Wee Competition won gate prizes. Last week’s winners were: Ayana Dalrymple, who supports F.E Pollard, won a Coby DVD player; Claudette George, also a fan of F.E. Pollard, won an MP3 player and St Margaret’s coach, Luke Perry won a Eureka vacuum cleaner.
