RHTYSC restructures teams’ management

THE MANAGEMENT of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) has announced a major restructuring of the leadership of its cricket teams with the club’s long-serving Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster stepping down as manager of the first division team. Patrick Lewis has been appointed manager of the entire male cricket teams, including Under-15, U-17, U-19, U-21, second division, intermediate and first division, while Janet Ramsammy would be in charge of the female team.
Long-serving Berbice head coach Michael Hyles-Franco has been appointed head coach with special responsibility for the first division team and the development of new talent and he would be assisted by coaches Renwick Batson, Delbert Hicks, Loyydel Lewis and Shawn Pereira.
The Club has also announced that Daniel Lewis would captain the Farfan and Mendes Under-15 Team with Brandon Prashad as his deputy, Lewis would lead the Under-17 team with Viendra Gooniah as the his deputy.
Pereira, who skippered Guyana this year in the West Indies Cricket Board Under-19 tournament that was played in Barbados, is the club’s Under-19 captain with Shailendra Shameer as his deputy.
Dominique Rikhi would be in charge of the Under-21 team and would have Pereira as his deputy, leaving Ravi Narine and Eon Hooper as the captain and vice-captain respectively of both the second division and intermediate teams of the club.
The club has produced two West Indies players in Shemaine Campbelle and Erva Giddings, who have both been named captain and vice-captain of the female team, while their first West Indies Test player Assad Fudadin will lead the first division team and will have Pereira as his deputy.
