THE Guyana Football Federation (GFF) 2012/2013 football season will kick off tomorrow with two games at Beterverwagting and Blairmont Community Centre grounds.
This will see the commencement of the GFF Super League preliminary round with four teams vying for a spot in the Super League.
On the East Coast, BV/Triumph United football club will host Silver Shattas at the BV ground from 15:30hrs. In Berbice New Amsterdam United will host Uitvlugt Football Club at the Blairmont ground from the same time.
One week later, October 14, the teams match up again at the same time with Silver Shattas battling BV/Triumph at the BV ground and Uitvlugt facing NA United at the Uitvlugt ground.
BV/Triumph and Silver Shattas are in Group One while NA United and Uitvlugt are in Group Two. The winning teams of the respective groups will qualify to participate in the Super League and by virtue replace Seawall FC and Victoria Kings who were eliminated.
The GFF Super League will commence on October 28 with the eight teams who survived the last tournament and the two teams to qualify.
