Body of N/A waitress retrieved from Berbice River –bodies of Jacklow man, elderly woman pulled from Pomeroon River

POLICE yesterday reported finding the body of waitress, Roxanne Brewster, 30, of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, who had reportedly fallen overboard at about 02:30 hrs  on Wednesday while walking on the gangway of a boat that was moored at Everton, East Bank Berbice. Brewster was in the company of two sailors who frequent the Rainbow Bar, where she worked as a waitress. The trio had left the bar after a drinking spree, and had gone to a boat which was moored while receiving cargo.
Two men are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
In a separate incident, William Young, 45, of Jacklow, Pomeroon was found floating in the Pomeroon River on Wednesday morning.
The discovery was made by residents traversing the river early on Wednesday morning.
Young went missing sometime on Sunday last, while attending a relative’s wedding at Jacklow.
It is not known how Young met his demise, but relatives are awaiting a post-mortem report while the body is being stored at the Charity Mortuary.
Young left his home on Sunday for the celebratory function and his boat and paddle were discovered floating in the Pomeroon River.
Meanwhile, 74-year-old Elithine France’s body was pulled from the Pomeroon River on Sunday evening last by a relative.
The senior citizen reportedly fell overboard while taking a bath.
