POLICE are awaiting the post mortem on the body of a 15-year-old West Coast Berbice resident whose decomposing body was found in a rice field at the Number 11 Village backdam on Saturday. Police said they have since launched an investigation surrounding the death of Basmattie Munusammy, of No.11 Village, WCB, whose decomposed body was found around 10:00 hrs
She had been reported  missing to the police on July 29 last. The teen left home for an unknown destination and that was the last time she was seen alive. The body was half nude and was lying facedown in a canal.
