VETERAN journalist and the Guyana Chronicle’s Chief Court reporter, George Barclay, 76, had a narrow escape on Monday when the vehicle he was driving north along Oronoque Street when another vehicle, proceeding east along Robb Street,  side swiped his Toyota Corolla. The motor car, after crashing into Barclay’s vehicle, went on to hit another vehicle parked on the parapet.
Police, soon after arrived on the scene, took measurements and commenced investigations. The drivers were invited to the Brickdam Police Station where they gave statements.
