Apocalypse – sweeping revelatory energies

THE year 2012 has been designated by many as ‘The Year of The Apocalypse’, and some have erroneously interpreted this to mean “the year of the ending of the world”. The truth is that the word “apocalypse” comes from the Greek word “apokalupsis/apokalupto” which means “uncover, reveal”. To people who understand the workings of the evolution of human consciousness, this means that the cosmic energies now engulfing earth is forcing all that which was hidden to come to light. Observe that on a world-wide scale, the secrets of governments, international banking institutions, religious organizations etc. are being revealed. And Guyana cannot escape these sweeping revelatory energies.
It is in this context that I view the political scene in Guyana. The political developments immediately following our last national election have been indeed revelatory. And now we have the “Linden protests”. The “secrets” hidden, nurturing, and festering in many hearts are now being exposed and thrown into our faces.
And why is all this being put out on the table for everyone to see? So that we can plainly and truthfully see the real issue we have to address and resolve. Guyanese have to ask themselves: “Is this what we want to continue happening in our country?”  This is the year for starting the ball of change rolling; for the decisions acted upon in this year will persist, in our reality, into the future. This is why 2012 is such a crucial year.
So, if Guyanese collectively want the same old race conflicts to continue, then that is what they will have inflicted on themselves. On the other hand, if they want to forge ethnic bonds of peace and unity, then ALL GUYANESE will have to stand up and take action to bring this about. What this means is that all Guyanese men and women – especially the young people – of goodwill will have to say, in effect, to their leaders, “We have had enough of these racial conflicts. It is time to end it! And if you can’t find ways and means to make peace and establish harmony with the other race group, then we do not need you. We will find leaders capable of making Guyana a nation of one people with one common destiny, living in peace, harmony, and prosperity”. Can we do this? Yes, we can!
