D’Hitman & the Hitsquad to hit Chutney lovers in scorching summer promotion

A PRESS conference at the Upscale Guyana Restaurant in downtown Georgetown yesterday signalled the start of the Giftland Officemax summer promotion. A ‘kids fest’, car and bus competition, and ‘Chutney in meh veins’ super-concert will be held at the Lusignan Ground today, August 1, 2012.
Marketing Executive, Compton Bobb noted that the aim of the Kids fest is to provide a packed programme that the kids will enjoy. “We’re going to have Dora, Sponge Bob, and a live stage performance”, he said.
The ‘Chutney in meh veins’ super concert features a live performance from D’Hitman, and the ‘Hitsquad’ band, which includes Honey Bee, Brandon, Archangel and DJ Flex.
While D’Hitman has been performing in Guyana for approximately fourteen years, this is the first time the ‘Hitsquad’ band would be performing in Guyana, and band members have promised to deliver a crowd-pleasing performance.
D’Hitman noted that if the public wishes to have a good time, then the super concert is the place to be. “D’Hitman and the Hitsquad! We’re going to do our best!” he said. He also noted that the performance will include a wide genre of music, as lovers of all types of music will be in attendance.
The event also features performances by Granny Ivelaw and a number of DJs, including DJ Anil, Stefon and Ronny; Pretty Love, 71 Sounds, Lexus, and The Shakers sound systems will be there in the action.
D’Hitman’ and the ‘Hitsquad’ will also be performing at the Diamond/Grove Market tarmac on Saturday, 4th August, at an event which includes a performance by ‘Big Red’.
Tickets for both events will be sold only at Giftland Officemax, and customers have the opportunity to win a free ticket with every purchase worth $5000 in the clothing, footwear and cosmetics departments.
