Accused knife, ice pick robber granted $225,000 bail

CEON Robinson (no address given) appeared in court yesterday, charged on two counts of robbery under arms. Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, it was alleged that, on July 20, in Georgetown, while in the company of another and being armed with a knife and an ice pick, he robbed Clint Callendar of a Blackberry cellular phone and a gold band, valued a total $222,000 and Elka Dean of an MP3 player worth $60,000.
He pleaded not guilty to the offences and was put on $225,000 bail until August 7.
