TROPHY manufacturer and distributor, Trophy Stall, last Friday joined forces with Stabroek Warriors Sports Club to sponsor the top four finishers’ trophies of that entity’s upcoming Inter-Market/Municipality Futsal tournament which kicks off this month-end at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. Prior to making the presentation to coordinator of the tournament O’Neil Durant, Managing Director of Trophy Stall, which has two outlets in Bourda Market and Hadi’s Mall, Ramesh Sunich said he was pleased to be associated with the tournament, while he applauded Durant for the initiative taken to organise the event which is in its second year.
“We felt obligated to throw our support behind such a gesture, which is being organised for markets and municipalities across Guyana.
“I must applaud Mr Durant for his time and efforts in organising the event and at the same time say how willing we are to work along with individuals like him, in making their events a successful one as well,” said Sunich.
Durant lauded Sunich for his timely and generous contribution, saying it is important for the success of the tournament, while he called on other business entities within Corporate Guyana to come forward and show their support.
According to the coordinator, 20 teams coming from as far as Lethem, Mahdia and even Bartica, will do battle for supremacy when the tournament gets under way on Saturday July 28.
