Man in triangular love affair severely wounded
A MAN was severely wounded Monday evening, allegedly by the husband of a woman involved in a triangular love affair. Reports said the 39- year-old injured man, Vickram Ramnarine, of Lusignan, East Coast Demerara, was chopped in the house where his assailant and wife live.
The wounding incident surrounds 50-year-old Deoranie called ‘Dee’, the wife of Kayman Singh, 56.
It is reported that Ramnarine was in Singh’s home when the latter returned there and found him with his wife. Singh ordered the other man out but he refused to leave the premises, walked into the kitchen, took a cup and began to drink from it.
That caused Singh to pick up a cutlass and inflict several chops on him.
Singh’s wife, in tears, said, upon seeing blood flowing from the victim’s chest, she panicked and ran outside screaming for neighbours who rendered assistance to the injured man.
Ramnarine was taken to a hospital and is in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, both Singh and Deoranie are in police custody.
