Farmer in critical condition after hit by speeding car
A FORTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD farmer of Better Success Village on the Essequibo Coast is fighting for his life in the Suddie Hospital after he was knocked off his bicycle by a speeding ‘utitlity’ vehicle on the Better Success public road Sunday afternoon. Reports said the farmer, who was intoxicated at the time of the accident, was hurled several feet in the air on the impact. The vehicle ended up in a nearby trench. The farmer, who has sustained serious injuries to his body, was rushed to the Suddie Hospital. He has suffered broken legs, arms and injuries to the head and face. The driver of the vehicle is in police custody.
