Search on for Miss Jamzone 2012

THE Miss Guyana Jamzone (MGJ) pageant is in its twelfth season, and is getting a new look for 2012. Organizers are on the hunt for a queen fit to wear the dazzling Miss Guyana Jamzone Crown; and instead of the usual formal production, the Miss Guyana Jamzone Committee will be giving you a raw, uncut, unscripted look at the famed beauty pageant. Now you can catch all the action from the comfort of your home with weekly episodes of the first ever MGJ: Queen of the Crown reality show.
The MGJ Committee had mentioned plans of adding this new format to the pageant early last year, but unforeseen circumstances had delayed execution of that plan.
Twelve local beauties will share one mansion for a month, and complete weekly challenges to secure a spot in the final of MGJ. Each week, the contestants will be assigned various pageant-related tasks to complete. The results will be ruled on by a panel of judges and the general public through SMS votes.
Be advised that this is NOT the search for the ‘next top model’. The Miss Jamzone Committee is looking for a well-rounded young lady who is capable of representing Guyana on the international stage.
The winner of the inaugural ‘Queen of the Crown’ reality show is eligible to win over three million dollars in cash plus the dazzling Miss Jamzone Crown.
The reality show is booked for several mainstream TV channels, and will give viewers an intimate look at the hectic life of beauty queens. The Queen of the Crown reality show will take you backstage at appearances, along on various outings, to rehearsal sessions, and to every other possible occasion leading up to the final week.
Ever wondered what it would be like to slip into a sash and walk in the high-heeled shoes of a beauty queen? Then this is your ultimate chance to catch all the drama in exclusive episodes that will capture all the tears, catfights and laughter behind the cameras.
This is a final call for young ladies who would like to participate in this production. If you are between the ages of 18 and 27, never had been married or mothered kids, and are confident that you have what it takes to make Guyana proud, then contact the Hits and Jams office on 227-0580 to secure your spot on the show. More details are soon forthcoming.
