THE latest focus by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) on implementation of a “programme of action” for sustainable development of Small Island Developing States will take place tomorrow in Guyana. The occasion would be the Fourth Meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) of the Regional Coordinating Mechanism for implementation of what is known as the ‘Mauritius Strategy’ for implementation of ECLAC’s ‘programme of action’.
The one-day meeting will have various facilitators from ECLAC, the CARICOM Secretariat as well as the governments of Barbados and Jamaica, and include participants from academia, civil society and the United Nations.
