IT was alleged yesterday in the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court that Rabindranauth Singh played music to such a loud extent that he caused annoyance to Harripaul Singh, and used abusive language to the virtual complainant when requested to turn down the volume of his music. This incident is alleged to have occurred on May 21 at Cove and John, East Coast Demerara.
Appearing before Sparendaam Magistrate Alex Moore (East Coast cases were forwarded to the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court yesterday), the defendant pleaded not guilty to the loud music charge, but guilty to the abusive language charge.
Complainant and defendant, however, opted to settle the matter between themselves, and the magistrate dismissed the case, but not before cautioning the defendant about his behaviour.
Each man apologised to the other for his behaviour, and left the courtroom hugging each other like brothers.
