IT pained me to see Guyanese women on a picket line clamouring for access to ‘Free and safe abortions’. There’s nothing free and safe about abortions, young women! You will pay! It’s going to cost you! A terrible price! It reminds me of the Scripture’s warning in James 2:3. It is possible to “ASK AMISS”, that is, to ask for something with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motive (Amplified Version).
You see, my young friends, whether you believe it or not, abortion, whether in a sterile, clean hospital context, performed by a “professional” doctor, or abortion by an unlicensed quack or abortion by ingesting a lethal abortifacient Pill or abortion via the I.U.D. inserted or abortion by taking “Bush”, is murder! Why? Because human life begins at the moment of conception when egg and sperm meet. And, God commands, concerning human life “Thou shalt not kill”(Exodus 20:13). “God hates hands that shed innocent blood” (Proverbs 6:17). What’s so special about human life?”  Unlike any other of God’s creation, humans were created in God’s image. Human life is PRECIOUS to God. Your little unformed baby in your womb has the Right to Life as you have! Remember, YOU do not create life, even though you have the privilege as a woman to CARRY Life. “It is God that made us and not we ourselves” (Psalm 100:3)

How serious is it when you agree to have your unborn child killed? God states the penalty for the shedding of innocent blood very clearly in Genesis 4:10-11. “….the voice of (your child’s) blood cries to me from the ground. And now you are cursed……”
Yes, apart from the physical, emotional & sometimes fatal complications you may or may not experience, you invoke God’s Divine Curse. The Family Planning people did not tell you this, neither those who urged you to “Be wise, condomise”.
Nor did the feminists in their zeal for “Reproductive Rights” ( How selfish and cruel, the right to kill your own child?!) But, God warns you today as He warned the PPP/C government strongly 16 years ago through the church, “Abortion invokes a curse. Don’t legalise it.” It is instructive to note the consequences of legalised abortion in our nation in these past 16 years the unprecedented bloodshed as the flood doors were opened to demons of murder,, suicide, road carnage, extrajudicial killings, massacres and more abortion ! In other words, the nation has been living out the Scripture in Psalm 106: 37-39,“ Yea, they sacrificed their sons and daughters unto devils, and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan (Lust) and the  land was polluted with blood.
It is obvious that the spiritually blind cannot see the linkage between the enactment of this damnable piece of legislation and the cheapening of human life that now obtains in our society. That is why God ordained the church in nations- To share His guidance for the Blessing of a nation.
For this nation to be blessed and to go forward, this law has to be repented of and revoked among other things. Presently, Guyana again stands at the crossroads as cries for the decriminalizing of same-sex unions and the abolishing of corporal and capital punishment come to our ears. Who will be our reference point this time? Would it be the funding agencies again? Would it be the morally depraved “developed” countries? Or the God who created us, and he has clearly stated His view on these matters in his words in the Bible. As a servant of the living God, again I warn, there is no safety in disobeying God. Let us obey Him and be blessed!
