FSCC Indian Arrival Day meet on today

THE Flying Stars Cycle Club (FSCC) in recognition of Indian Arrival Day has organised a 50-lap cycle race around the inner circuit of the National Park, commencing at 09:30hrs this morning. The first nine finishers will receive cash prizes, while there will be a prime prize up for grabs at the end of every three laps within the race, which is being held in recognition of the arrival of the first Indians in Guyana 174 years ago, as well as a warm-up for next weekend’s annual Independence three-stage cycle road race.
All the country’s top cyclists will be participating in this race and they are asked to present their licences as well as wear their club jerseys while competing in this event. Unattached cyclists are asked to wear white jerseys.
