CIOG hosts training programme for Imaams, Madrassah teachers

THE Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) will be hosting a two-day training programme to restore and enhance the beliefs, principles and practices of Ahulus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.
A release from the CIOG said the training programme will be held at the Meter-Meer-Zorg (West) Masjid, West Coast Demerara this weekend and is open to both males and females. The programme will commence at 09:00hrs tomorrow morning and end at 16:00 hrs on both days (Saturday and Sunday) and is being offered free of cost.
Topics will include presentations on the three core dimensions of Islam – Aqidah (tenets of faith), Fiqh (Islamic Worship) and Tasawwuf (Islamic Spirituality). Additionally, discussions on some practical day-to-day issues will be examined in an interactive manner.
The presentations will be delivered primarily by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani and Ustadh Faisal Baksh from Canada.
