SINGER Jessica Xavier, 27, who is faced with a causing death by dangerous driving charge since last March 5, made another appearance before Magistrate Alex Moore. Her lawyer, Mr. Marcel Bobb requested that she be given back her driver’s licence, as she needs it to attend to important work at Lethem, in the Rupununi district.
The magistrate granted the request, but ordered Xavier to lodge her passport and return to court on June 7.
She allegedly drove a vehicle in a reckless manner and caused the death of 20-year-old Vangaskar Ramcharitar. Once she has got important work to attend to and is allowed bail to attend and to lodge her passport is all one big mighty gimmickry of law.
Most Guyanese will see how Vangaskar Ramcharitar’s life is worth absolutely nothing, because this is a big woman with more important work to do so who cares about Vangaskar Ramcharitar.
You bet your life on it if it were not Vangaskar Ramcharitar and was one from the so called depressed communities with a name such as John Smith, all hell would break loose and Guyanese would see marching and protest on the streets of Guyana demanding justice.
IT is overbearing to read what has been taking place in Guyana to  a certain section of Guyanese. It
seems as though there is no regard and no justice for a certain section of Guyanese society.
It’s plain as daylight for all to read.
One can say this case is closed.
