No increase in mini-bus fares

– Ministry  advises
THE Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce is advising the public that mini-bus fares for the various routes remain the same since the last increase in 2005.
“Commuters are not to pay any increase in fares,” the ministry urged yesterday.
Mini bus operators/owners are expected not to charge the travelling public any increase in fares which violates the understanding reached between the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce and the mini-bus operators in 2005.
Mini-bus operators are expected to request an increase in fares when gasoline and dieseline increase above one thousand dollars (G$1,000).
