– in Garnett Street, Newtown
THE official opening of the new Kanhai’s Electronics Store, at Lot 107 Garnett Street, Newtown, took place last Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the manager, Mr. Khalid Kanhai assured that, apart from offering affordability to customers, on a wide array of merchandise, they can also look forward to excellent service at the establishment.
The business is owned by him and his father, Mr. Michael Kanhai, both of whom also own Kanhai’s Electrical Agency on Regent Street, between Light and Cummings Streets, also in Georgetown.
Very much like the Regent Street place, which sells electrical components and fittings, the one in Newtown is stocked, as well, with popular brands of gadgets used on an almost every day basis.
Speaking to the Guyana Chronicle, following the ceremony on Saturday, Khalid Kanhai said Newtown will offer the very popular Sony, Samsung, Philips, Microsoft, LG, and VTech brands at affordable prices.
The Kanhais have been in the business for some 24 years and sell kitchen appliances, home entertainment systems, gaming consoles and accessories, cell phones and household electrical items.
The Newtown branch will be open from Mondays to Fridays, 08:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs and on Saturdays 08:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs.
