I ENJOYED reading Harry Gill’s letters, and would be sad to see him go, in reading his last letter.
I agree with most of what he said on abortion, but he should have left God out of it. I agree with him that a woman who cannot afford to have a child should learn to decline the invitation for unprotected sex in the first place.
But, in Canada, it’s called “working babies” when these women would go out and get pregnant over and over again, in order to collect big money from tax payers through Government.
Urging Government to build more orphanages will only encourage more babies to be born and raised, thereby draining the system of more resources.
If these women know there is not a red cent from any Government for them, you bet they will think a million times over of ever getting pregnant.
In Canada, these ladies would have about four or five kids on whose birth certificates the father would be stated as “unknown”, because of multiple sex partners, where the mothers and fathers are fixed for life financially.
It’s more profitable to have four or five kids in Canada than to work for a living.
Yes, in the case of rape or incest, or where the life of a pregnant woman is in jeopardy, Government should pay for abortions.
If you ask me, then I would say yes to building bigger jails for deadbeat fathers who simply refuse to take responsibility for their children’s welfare.
