TAXI driver Mervin Adams (no address given) appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, charged with unlawful wounding. It was alleged that, on March 6, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Junior Flu to cause him actual bodily harm but the defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Police Sergeant, Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant was standing at a bus park when the defendant approached with a broken bottle and stabbed him several times about his body, after accusing him of having beaten his younger brother.
Adams was put on $100,000 bail and the case will be called, again, on March 15.
