– lead actress in the movie ‘A Jasmine for a Gardener’
BEAUTIFUL, enthusiastic, determined, passionate and ingenious is Bhavana Samtani, who plays the lead role of Neetu in the movie ‘A Jasmine for a Gardener.’ Bhavana was born under the zodiac sign of Taurus. She is the second of three siblings. She spent some of the most crucial years of her life being raised by her grand-mother. Bhavana attended St. Margaret’s Primary School where she set her foundation in life.
She describes herself as a very down-to-earth person who likes exploring her options rather than quitting or surrendering. Bhavana’s weakness is children, which drove her into pursuing a career in teaching. She is currently in her final year, majoring in English and minoring in Mathematics at the Cyril Potter College of Education.
Her teenage life was spent admiring her sister’s exquisite dance performances at various occasions. She spent quality time assembling costumes and applying make-up for her sister’s consecutive years of winning the Mash Competition under the Indian Classical dance category.
Bhavana, herself, loved the idea of dancing, modeling, pageantry and acting and as a result both sisters teamed up after attending the same high school, St. Joseph’s High. Here, Bhavana performed  for the Teachers Day concert, along with her sister, at various fun raising activities hosted by the school, graduation ceremonies, a pageant hosted by the old students’ organization and, following that, the sisters once again melted the hearts of the audience at a mother and daughter pageant hosted by the former Head Mistress of St. Joseph’s High School.
This vibrant 23-year-old beauty has a passion for music, literature including drama and Indian culture, since her entire generation from the father’s angle is from Chennai, South India. One of her dreams as a child was to become an actress, dancing and singing to her hero. Hence, Bhavana claims to be honoured to have been called upon to debut in the film, ‘A Jasmine for a Gardener’, playing the role of Neetu – whose character falls in love with Ravi, the gardener, played by Shivraj himself.
Without  a doubt,  this is a dream come through for this beautiful and talented aspiring actress.
