THE Kashif & Shanghai Organisation on Monday afternoon made a contribution of some footballs to the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) to assist in two youth football tournaments planned in a few weeks’ time. At a small presentation ceremony at the K&S office on Irving street, director Kashif Muhammad highlighted that his organisation is honoured to be associated with the WDFA over the years and this association has watched the running-off of their annual Christmas football tournament and as such when they approached for help Kashif said his organisation readily agreed..
Co-director Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major stated that the WDFA has also been helpful in assisting the GFF in hosting international matches.
Secretary of the West Demerara Football Association, Adrian Giddings, expressed thanks to the K&S Organisation for the donation the footballs.
Giddings noted the first tournament will see an Under-15 tournament and will feature clubs affiliated to the association in which all the matches will be played at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground.
The other tournament will be an Under-17 one and will be hosted at the same venue with the similar affiliated clubs.
