Mobile phones, cash stolen in New Amsterdam Market burglary

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the breakage at New Amsterdam Market in Berbice, from where stall holder Rasheid Hack lost a number of mobile phones and an undisclosed sum of cash last Monday morning. Hack reported that, the day before, he had secured his grilled business place with padlocks leaving the stock intact. But on his return, he discovered several empty phone boxes on the floor.
He was at his Cumberland Village home, also in Berbice, when he was contacted by the Town Constabulary Supervisor and informed of the burglary.
The police were, subsequently, informed but no arrest has yet been made.
