TWO ranks of the City Constabulary appeared in Court yesterday on a joint simple larceny charge. Demesh Gossai and Leo Hernandez pleaded not guilty, before Magistrate Geeta Chandan-Edmond, to having on January 7, stolen $160,000, property of Vishnu Gocool.
But Constabulary Corporal James Garnett, prosecuting, informed the Court that the virtual complainant does not wish to offer evidence against the defendants and the case was dismissed.
However, the defendants (no addresses given) were both placed on a bond to keep the peace for one year.
