MAGISTRATE Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday sentenced Tulsieram Kissoon and Sandeep Gopaul to 18 months in prison for receiving stolen property. Kissoon, of Lot 48 and Gopaul, of Lot 3, both in Delph Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, were charged in 2009, with simple larceny but found guilty of having received stolen booty.
They had pleaded not guilty to having, on February 27, 2009, stolen one ‘Marino’ motor car, PJJ 423, valued $1.2M, property of Khemraj Goberdhan.
Prior to their conviction yesterday they were each on $200,000 bail.
