Two motor-cycle bandits arrested following bus robbery

–  unlicensed .32 pistol with 12 matching rounds found
POLICE ranks yesterday responded to a report received that three men on two motor cycles had robbed a minibus driver at Beterverwagting Public Road, East Coast Demerara.
The police caught up with the two motor cycles on Sheriff Street, but one of the men rode way. However, the police said they pursued the other two men on the other motor-cycle unto Middleton Street, where the motor cycle crashed into a mini bus.
The driver of the motor cycle was arrested, while ranks gave chase behind the pillion rider who was seen throwing away a bag as he ran.
The man was subsequently caught and arrested by the police and the bag retrieved and searched in which was found an unlicensed .32 pistol with 12 matching rounds.
The two men are in police custody as the investigations continue.
