A MAN and his two sons, charged with wounding their neighbour resulting in the victim’s loss of two fingers, were each placed on $25,000 bail, on Wednesday by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo, at New Amsterdam Court. Roy Tombin, 59 and the siblings Avinish, 19, and Omeshdat, 18, of Williamsburg, Corentyne, pleaded not guilty to having unlawfully and maliciously wounded Tiwarie Persaud, of Albion Estate, also at Corentyne, in Berbice.
The court was told that the trio, armed with cutlasses, attacked the virtual complainant, with whom they have an ongoing misunderstanding over a female relative.
The case has been transferred to Albion Court, Corentyne, for December 13.
