Computers boost GPOC services

THE Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) has added to its assets 15 new computers with the intention of improving its services to the public.
The computers have been distributed to offices throughout the Corporation’s network in all three counties of Guyana.

This move will see an increase in efficiency in the processing of money order transactions. The decision to make this improvement was made at a Strategic Management Meeting held earlier this year and was implemented in October.
Offices at which new computers have been installed include those at Cane Grove, East La Penitence, Bourda, Kwakwani, Leonora, McKenzie, Parika, and Whim. A few of the offices such as Bartica and Reliance are being geared to come on stream with similar improvements before the year ends.
The corporation remains committed to providing its services as efficiently as possible, and stands determined to embrace technology that will assist it in achieving its mandate.
