REDjet offering Christmas stocking filler flight

THE Caribbean’s Low-Fare Airline, REDjet, is putting out what it describes as the perfect Christmas stocking filler.
From this month, customers will be able to buy vouchers at all REDjet retail locations as well as through the call centre, which would come as attractive gift cards and be valid for one year, making them a present.

In addition, the airline has teamed up with Trinidad and Tobago retail giant, Francis Fashions Shoe Locker to reward all passengers flying to Trinidad between now and December 31.
Starting November 1, all REDjet passengers visiting Trinidad and Tobago, from Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica, will receive a 25 per cent discount guaranteed on all items in the store when they check in to fly.
The voucher is redeemable at any of 30 Francis Fashion Shoe Locker locations as well as at ‘Be Yourself’ stores – Sportworld, PUMA, Nike/Adidas/Puma (3in1), GUESS, Decorator’s Dream, Got Shoooz and BioFitness Gym.
REDjet is also offering all current students at all campuses at the University of the West Indies (UWI), two free-checked bags when they travel. This means that, from Tuesday, November 1, all current UWI students with a valid student ID card will be able to carry two free large checked bags up to 30 kilogrammes each, in addition to the two free carry-on bags already offered to all REDjet passengers.
According to the airline’s Communications Officer, Nyssa Pierre, this is REDjet’s effort to help UWI students save even more money while they study for the future.
The company has also announced that, from November 20 to 22, customers can fly REDjet to two new destinations, Jamaica and Antigua, with fares from as low as USD$9.99.
Two months ago, the regional airline offered its service between Guyana and Antigua and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of REDjet, Ian Burns, was confident that passengers will be thrilled by the new flights to and from the VC Bird International Airport in Antigua.
“It is no secret that Guyana has been good to REDjet and we want to keep our promise of delivering low fares to Guyana with as many routes as possible. Antigua has always been a huge source of interest from the REDjet perspective and we are happy to be able to serve Antiguans and the Diaspora,” he said during the launch of that route.
The direct flights between Barbados and Jamaica, Trinidad and Jamaica and Guyana to Antigua will begin operating between November 21 and 22, bringing to six the number of routes serviced by the airline.

REDjet started servicing Guyana from Barbados in May, with fares as low as US$10. Their inaugural commercial flight arrived at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) from Barbados on May 10, with 149 passengers on board, including top REDjet officials and representatives of the Barbadian Government.
