THE inner circuit of the National Park will be buzzing with activity from 09:00hrs today when the Roraima Bikers Club runs off the 14th Annual Troy Humphrey Memorial cycle race meeting with 12 scheduled races, sponsored by Humphrey’s Bakery & Farm Products Ltd and Kurwin Chase and Family. Attractive prizes which will be distributed by members of the Humphrey family will be up for grabs during the day’s event, as both the sponsors and the club invite the members of the public to come out and witness an exciting cycling extravaganza which will cater for all categories of riders.
Riders in the calibre of Godfrey Pollydore, Alonso Greaves, Warren McKay, Marlon Williams, Marlon Morrison, Albert Philander, Alex Mendes, Raymond Newton, Robin Persaud, Junior Niles, Lear Nunes and others will be battling for supremacy.
The list of events are as follows: BMX 6-8 yrs, BMX 9-11 yrs, BMX 12-14 yrs, BMX Open, Upright/Mountain Bikes Open, Ladies Racing Bike, Veterans Under-50, Veterans Over-50, Juniors/Juveniles, Seniors/Elite, Team Time Trials and the feature race which is a 35-lap Open affair.
