A STRAY catcher, employed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, was placed on $30,000 bail yesterday, when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on a larceny charge. Jason Adams, 22, of Caneville, Grove, East Bank Demerara, pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on August 13, at Brickdam and Water Street, Georgetown, he stole a $13,000 gold chain, property of Roxanne Pellew.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, successfully requested that the duo sign to a bond to keep the peace, stating that Pellew is the ex-girlfriend of Adams and reports were made that he assaulted her.
