A fifty-nine-year-old man who allegedly bit the vagina of a juvenile is in police custody assisting with their investigations.
The tractor operator, of Cumberland, East Canje, Berbice is alleged to have gone to the home of the eleven year girl, where he was questioned by the child as to the purpose of his visit.
The juvenile, who was home alone, reportedly told the uninvited guest to leave the house, but he became abusive and began pursuing the child, who became fearful and fled outside, and sought refuge in a mango tree.
This newspaper was informed that the man caught hold of the child’s arm, pulled her into her home, where he tied her hands to the bed frame, removed her underwear,  spread her legs apart, before (allegedly) biting her vagina.
After doing so, he untied her before leaving calmly.
The primary school student subsequently told a neighbour, who reported the incident to the Reliance Police Station, from where ranks took the traumatized child to be medically examined. The suspect was arrested at his home shortly after the incident.
