Guyana to establish diplomatic ties with two European countries

THE Guyana Government has approved requests by the Governments of Montenegro and of the Principality of Andorra for the establishment of diplomatic relationships with Guyana.
Montenegro, located in South East Europe, is part of the former Federative Republic of Yugoslavia and became independent in 2006. It is a small country of only 14 square kilometers and a population of 660,000 people.

Head of the Presidential Secretariat (HPS), Dr. Roger Luncheon yesterday said that the possible benefits of this engagement will be based on Montenegro’s strength in the areas of agriculture, manufacturing, and services, which are their leading sectors in that country.
The Principality of Andorra located in South Western Europe, is another small country with 468 square kilometers in land mass and a population of about 83,000 people.
