PPP won even when our votes were not counted

PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the recently formed Joint Opposition Partnership for National Unity APNU David Granger has accused the Alliance for change AFC Khemraj Ramjattan of having “misread the public’s will” he also accuses him of “being out of touch.” These are some of the latest comments coming from the head of a political grouping of disgraced persons vying for power. Granger is appealing to Ramjattan to come join this grouping in a mass appeal to the electorate hoping somehow to unseat the PPP/C in the next general election.
This latest move is the herd instinct mentality gained from the recent Trinidad big tent politics the inspiration which has blossomed into the new and improved APNU. But Ramjattan would not be tarnished by this bunch of comedians, and ex-cons choosing rather to be aloof in a go it alone stance. At the end of the day the reality is with or without a coalition APNU nor AFC do not stand a chance of making any dent in the voting pattern of the Guyanese public and as such cannot unseat the PPP/C.
And here’s my reason for saying this. The AFC got its six seats in parliament from the disgruntled Black voters of the PNC those voters having taken their votes there due to Raphael Trotman not Ramjattan. The disaster that befell that party in the leadership struggle recently saw Ramjattan coming to the helm as presidential candidate, quite to the chagrin of Trotman and those loyal voters of that party. Therefore with a Ramjattan leading the AFC he will not be given a ghost of a chance by those loyal voters of the AFC.
A case in point was the acrimonious ousting of Winston Murray out of the leadership struggle of the PNC and these are pointers Ramjattan should be mindful of seeing that the AFC is Raphael Trotman’s party he Ramjattan being a reject from the PPP is viewed as an opportunist or a stop by politician.

But let me get back to my original discourse of Granger’s comment of Ramjattan “misreading the public’s will” and accusing him of being “out of touch.” My question is what is the public’s will? Is it to vote the PNCR into power because this is the real aim of the APNU.
Well I must remind Mr. Granger that the public’s will lies within the PPP’s domain ever since 1964 this party has had the notable record of winning every election in Guyana and there is certainly no reason to change now. What I would like to tell Granger is that in a time when our votes were not counted the PPP won. Now when our votes are counted show me where we can lose.

And this is the terrifying picture the PNCR now conglomerate of APNU sees and it frustrates them to face a daunting future.
