I am writing to express my deep confidence in the PPP/C’s candidate Mr. Donald Ramotar. I feel sure that the PPP/C has the right man here because he has mountains of political experience. Donald was one of the closest associates of presidents Cheddi Jagan and Janet Jagan, and as he is an adviser to President Jagdeo who continues to receive wide acclaim both at home and abroad. The PNCR is not doing so well. They do not even know who to have as a running mate. They are now hiding behind JOPP – the Joker Organization for Poor Politicians. Apparently the PNCR could not find anyone in its ranks to run as the prime ministerial candidate so they begged Roopnarine. The WPA is glad for the little action because otherwise nobody listens to them.
I saw one ridiculous suggestion that Christopher Ram should be the running mate for Granger. Mr. Editor – are these people out of their minds? Christopher Ram is only a nuisance and nothing else. He has zero political experience. Many people say that he craves a government title but surely prime minister cannot be one of them. If Ram gets the title of director of anything he will take it and live happily.
Another ridiculous suggestion is that the JOPP should pick Janette Bulkan. This is the biggest joke of the year, bigger than the one on Christopher Ram. Ms. Bulkan is a serial complainer and spends a lot of time making predictions that turn out to be false. She said that the LCDS would fail. She is so wrong because as this letter is being written Guyana is taking up a leadership position on global climate change management. Guyanese people know that Janette Bulkan has been a miserable failure on all her advice about the LCDS. She is like the C.N. Sharma of climate change, entertaining but wrong.
As I said the man for the job of president is Donald Ramotar. Donald is one of the best listeners of all the politicians. He is calm and he looks at all angles of an issue before making a decision. When he acts, he acts with great commitment and does not give up. His years and years of political experience will serve him well in deciding on a PPP running mate.
