Is the ERC causing the PNCR injury?

NO amount of propaganda will change the facts. The propaganda being peddled by pro-PNCR journalists must stop. Responsible journalists must be factual. It is downright disgusting when supposedly senior members of the media wilfully use their access to the airwaves to spread what can only be described as blatant untruths. These journalists have forgotten whom they serve and instead allow their personal politics to guide their reports. If they want to play politics they should stop masquerading as journalists and come out as politicians, that way people can at least respect them for being honest about their ambitions.
The public needs to know that the ERC secretariat is functioning and they should show their disdain and disgust for what the PNCR is attempting to do by showing up and supporting the activities of the ERC wherever and whenever they are held. It is time for people to vote with their feet.
It is time to stop the ‘bullyism’ of the PNCR whether it is in the streets or in the courts and those in responsible offices and who hold positions of authority must not encourage abuse of our systems. What is so urgent in a matter that has been on the discussion table for four long years that can now cause an ex parte injunction to be granted? How can Mr. Corbin and colleagues, in all sincerity, violate cardinal rules of our legal systems and allow this travesty to be perpetuated?
Ex parte judicial proceedings are usually reserved for urgent matters where requiring notice would subject one party to irreparable harm. It can also be used to stop irreparable injury to property. Is the ERC causing injury? On the contrary, it is healing the nation and creating bridges over the divisions caused by racial and ethnic differences and which the PNCR preys on.
I noticed a letter in the Chronicle newspaper of Wednesday, June 15, 2011,in which five questions were asked. These questions must be answered by Mr. Corbin.
The people of Guyana need to mobilise against this assault of the PNCR. Voices everywhere must be raised in condemnation of what the PNCR is attempting to do.
Corbin must not get away with trying to manipulate the courts and our judicial system to satisfy his own wicked intent.
I do not need to spell out the real reason for Mr. Corbin’s moving to the courts to stop the work of the ERC. Guyanese everywhere know fully well why he is so against this organisation. The ERC stands in his path and prevents him from unleashing the mayhem and confusion that is synonymous with the PNCR.
As a people we must let Corbin and his band of 40 know that we will not allow him to destroy the pillars of State that uphold unity and peace. His attack on the ERC must be seen as an attack on the fundamental right of all Guyanese to enjoy a peaceful existence
