PASTOR Kurt Holder, 34, of Lot 35 Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, charged with receiving stolen property. Particulars of the offence, to which he pleaded not guilty, said between October 16 and December 31, 2009, the defendant received a motor car valued $3M property of Mohamed (only name stated) knowing it to have been stolen or unlawfully obtained.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Stephen Telford told the court that two men held the virtual complainant at gunpoint and took away his vehicle.
The prosecutor said when investigating ranks went to the defendant’s home, they found an engine and other car parts.
Holder was put on $300,000 bail and the case has been transferred to another court for June 27.
