GOVERNMENT has indicated its willingness to improve bilateral relations with the Republic of Peru when it gave approval earlier this week for the appointment of a career diplomat in the Peruvian Foreign Service as non-resident Ambassador to Guyana.
Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon disclosed yesterday that government had agreed to the appointment of His Excellency Eric Anderson Machado during a Cabinet meeting earlier in the week.
Machado was appointed ambassador to Venezuela earlier this year.
He is residing in Caracas and is expected to present his credentials in Georgetown shortly.
