Selectors were not au fait with Demerara players

I would like to know why the privilege of selecting the Under-15 Demerara Cricket squad was given to the Guyana Board selectors?
It is obvious that the selectors were not au fait with the players in Demerara. The Chairman of the selection committee should have sought advice from the coaches of the various associations in the region since I am sure that they would have been in a better position
to select players who warrant selection as they would have coached them and would have been more knowledgeable about their performance in the game.
It is truly disappointing that some of the most talented players did not get the opportunity to show their talent due to the fraction of the Demerara board.
Mr. Editor I am the parent of a member of this team and was privileged to follow the school and club Under-15 cricket for two years. Therefore I know that there are players who merit selection to the Demerara squad based on their performance in school cricket and the only organized club cricket tournament in Georgetown.
These players should be given the opportunity to be part of this squad. I am therefore asking the Georgetown Cricket Association to release the performance statistics of the players who have played thus far in the Brain Street competition.
