WE refer to Mr. Harold Hopkinson’s letter “GT&T and Digicel should be able to track stolen smart phones” dated April 29, 2011. While Digicel would love to satisfy all the needs of customers, the company has to uphold its policies which are designed to safeguard customers.
The company’s policy is to only provide details on phones if formally requested by the police. Digicel believes that the Guyana Police Force is the most appropriate authority to deal with crime.
We feel this process is in the best interest of all.
