Presidential candidates to meet, address business community

THE Guyana Manufacturing & Services Association (GMSA) has extended ‘congratulations’ to Mr. Donald Ramotar, Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan and Mr. David Granger on winning their respective parties’ nominations to contest the 2011 national elections as presidential candidates, and the Association said it looks forward to a productive election campaign.
The GMSA, which currently represents the interests of small and large businesses in the manufacturing and services sectors in Guyana, said it is pleased to have obtained the consent of the respective political parties to host their candidates in a series of discourses with the business community.
A statement last week from the GMSA said the first discourse with Alliance For Change (AFC) candidate Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan, is scheduled for Wednesday 27th April 2011 at  noon at the Pegasus Hotel in Georegtown.
People’s National Congress Reform (PNC/R) candidate Mr. David Granger will address business representatives on Wednesday 11th May, and the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) candidate Mr. Donald Ramotar is slated to round off the three-part series on Wednesday 25th May at the same venue.
The series will take the form of Business Luncheons that will be open, not only to members of the GMSA, but to the entire business community and other stakeholders who are interested in the plans and programmes that each candidate has devised to promote private sector development in Guyana.
Admission will be by invitation only, so interested parties are asked to contact the GMSA Secretariat, 157 Waterloo Street, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown, for further information.
