HANUMAAN JAYANTI marks the appearance of Shri Hanumaan on earth, who is an exemplar and profound character in the Ramayana—one of the epics of Hinduism. In that epic, despite we read of Hanumaanji in many of its chapters, the poet dedicated an entire chapter to Shri Hanumaan’s life and profound acts. Shri Hanumaan’s life has divine lessons to teach us and make us traverse the path of divinity. He never boasted about his life. Hanumaanji was an epitome of absolute devotion, massive knowledge, Great Spirit of selfless service and unlimited power of celibacy. Maybe for this reason, the worship of Shri Hanumaan remains dominant in the Hindu way of life.
The most significant message that we should get from the life of Shri Hanumaan, if studied properly is the practice of relieving each other from burdens and pains. Hanumaanji has demonstrated this throughout His life. Maybe it would be suitable to draw light to a few incidents in the Ramayana where this perfect figure showed with great zeal and determination the act of bringing relief to those He encountered. Sugreeva, Bharata and Lakshmana come fastest to mind.
