THE police are investigating the death of Rene Jacobs, 29, of One Mile, Wismar, that occurred at about 10:50hrs yesterday. Jacobs was working in a sand pit, about 40 to 50 feet deep, when it caved in on him.
Jacobs was taken out by other workers and rushed to the Mackenzie Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
